this book is utter fail. Kaplan Premier 2007-2008 ed. The more I'm going through it, the more I'm wondering whether it was a good purchase. Considering I got it used for 14 bucks, I guess it wasn't a bad deal, but the stuff in this book can be easily found online, as you'll only find very very very basic information. If I wanted a list of equations and a picture of a cell, I could easily google this information. The lack of practice problems after each section also makes this book really pointless. I suppose it's alright as a VERY quick refresher/checklist for topics to study further using other resources, which I why I'm continuing to flip through this thing, since I don't have much time until my first exam, and I've only started studying recently :D I will definitely use another book for my July exam!

Also, for anyone wondering, the orgo section is utter utter utter crap. You'll find nothing but mechanisms, and you'll probably be shooting yourself in the foot by trying to memorize them all.

On a side note, Rebecca Black is the COOLEST CHICK EVER.

Upon stumbling across a preview of Jean Paul Gaultier's new spring ad campaign, I thought to myself, "Oh, maybe 2011 is the year of the girl kiss." Two gorgeous blondes in trenches and fishnets, one of which is supermodel veteran Karolina Korkova and a lovely newcomer a bit reminiscent of Lily Donaldson. Further researched revealed a jaw-dropping revellation about the new model: it's a boy.

If you haven't already noticed, I'm a huge fan of androgyny. Maybe I'm behind on this, but model Andrej Pejic who is of Croatian and Serbain is an absolute stunner for both genders and is leaving me gawking. I could not believe it. With classically feminine facial features like high cheekbones, pouty lips, rounded forehead and wide-set eyes, Pejic could completely pass under the radar on womenwear runways. Full breasts and butts rarely make appearances even on the female models, so very few would be left suspicious. It's only natural that designer Jean-Paul Gaultier champion Pejic, as he was the first to create skirts for men in the 80's. Gaultier put the androgyn in his spring 2010 menswear shows to everyone's confusion: "who is that blonde girl?"

Who was the intriguing, androgynous blonde at Jean Paul Gaultier’s Spring/Summer 2011 menswear show in Paris overnight? Melbourne’s Andrej Pejic, that’s who. Frockwriter knew it would not be long before Pejic appeared on a major runway and there he is in three outfits at JPG. Update: Pejic reports that he will also be doing John Galliano's show today. Since first popping up on our radar at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week last year, as reported by frockwriter, Pejic shot a 14 page editorial for Australia’s RUSSH magazine and headed to London, where the 18 year-old was snapped up by Storm Management. Pejic, whose mother agency in Australia is Chadwicks, is now repped by New Madison in Paris and I Love Models Management in Milan and has shot for Dazed + Confused Japan (see below), London-based magazines Libertine and Wonderland and Martyn Bal. Stand by for what could be his biggest career break to date: editorial (including a cover try) just shot by a major international photographic duo for the September edition of a major international fashion title.

Pejic emerges on the international stage at a moment when androgyny has never been more topical - and not just in fashion.

Gaultier first proposed the idea of western men in skirts in the 1980s - two decades before Marc Jacobs began kitting himself out in his now signature kilt. Beyond Scotland, of course, men in several other cultures wear skirt-like garments.

But that was definitely a dress from his women's collection in which Jacobs put male model Cole Mohr for his Marc by Marc Jacob Fall/Winter 2008/2009 campaign - some believe inspired by Jacobs' defacto muse, Manila-based blogger Bryanboy, one of several male fashion identities who blend gender stereotypes with their personal mens/womens fashion mix.

Turkish Vogue’s editor in chief, Seda Dominic, who chose him for his Vogue spread said 'The line between the sexes is becoming more and more blurred. Fashion is all about providing people with choices. It doesn’t matter if you’re a man or a woman.' So why not see men in leggings, tight fitted clothes and more colour? I think fashion designers would suddenly have a whole new genre of clothes to dream up! Lucky them.

Although I'm not a huge fan of winter weather (I might have mentioned that before), I do love the look of winter weddings. Admittedly, we do the vast majority of our weddings in the warm weather months but the winter weddings I've had over the years have always been an infusion of fun during otherwise quiet months.

My most memorable winter wedding took place in early February about eight years ago and featured a fabulous snowflake theme. The cake was adorned with intricate gumpaste snowflakes, the flowers were in icy shades of blue and white, the table linens were an irridescent blue and the escort cards were hung with crystals from a centerpiece of white birch branches. It really was a winter wonderland!

The only problem was that we had a warm snap the week of the wedding (sound familiar?) and it was over 70 degrees on the Thursday before. This was the one time I've actually seen a bride upset by good weather! I have to admit that the monogrammed cups of hot chocolate for guests to take upon departure weren't going to be quite so comforting. Who wants hot chocolate when it's beach weather? Luckily for the nervous bride, the weather dropped again and wedding guests were glad to get hot cocoa and warm bags of donuts as they left the wedding and ventured out into the cold night.

You certainly don't have to go with a winter white theme for a winter wedding but here are a few of our favorite ideas for cold weather affairs.

The following ceremony designs by Preston Bailey are the ultimate winter wonderlands. I personally love the white lights but the blue is certainly dramatic (it was for Melissa Rivers' wedding so what do you expect?).

We're working on a wedding now with a version of the Preston Bailey winter wonderland trees but for a Labor Day weekend wedding. White is always in season. It should be spectacular!

Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

Why is this fondness for snow? Those fluffy, immaculate white, pillow-soft (are they?) form of matter. Since my childhood days, I have this certain fancy for them until now in my adulthood. I live in a tropical country wherein there are just 2 seasons, so the thought of touching a ball of snow is vague for we don't have winter here. (sigh)

Unless I get to travel in other countries in the near future like Australia ( visit the Koalas, go to Kangaroo Island or go to the Blue and Snowy Mountains!), London (also to see Big Ben, which according to one of my Korean students isn't really big duh! what's her exact definition of big then? ), US or perhaps Canada (see the man-made Niagara Falls).

Even my alias on my web avatars have "snow" in them : Snow White(I am Snow White of my high school peer group not that I am white but because I'm the tallest girl!; snowy, for my twitter and alias in some sites.)

In the very near future, I could even name one of my kids "Snowy" or "Snowsky" ( gosh, doesn't sound good I think) More like endearments for pets. Just kidding.

I have watched on video some who had their first experiences with snow- how they were truly amazed, rolling over the ground like kids who have just stepped outside to play! Maybe I would do a similar thing during my first encounter with snow then or even way crazier than that.

Having a White Christmas as the song goes is also my dream, of gazing into tall pine trees covered with snow dust in what could be one magical winter wonderland!(must be the inner child in me bringing up these thoughts!) Well, it's really like that don't you think? We tend to wish or desire for things we don't have while those who have them at times feel dread for they abhor cold weather.

But still, I want to experience that, put on my coat and mittens with matching boots and scarves. (of course even if you're trembling, freezing to death, you must still have a fashion sense to flaunt!)Take hold of a mould of snow and get ready to attack and play snow fight!

And oh! To build my own snowman or snow woman but I want an enormous one more like the abominable snowman himself! Will clothe and style it too and take lots of pictures of it so my friends would be green with envy when they get to see them.

I would like also to try skiing or snow boarding and go to the ski resorts, observe some ongoing ski jobs there. That would be one heck of a wondrous adventure then! These dreams must come true soon then so I may pack my bags and fly away!

Lately, I don't know if yall' have noticed, but it has been snowing! I love snow!!! I mean you get out of school because of it and you get to play in it! I mean what kid doesn't want that (notice how I said kids, not grownups).

I don't see how grownups can't love our wonderful selves! I have enjoyed the snow so much! I tried to make an igloo the, uh, last time it snowed (you know the 5 inch snow) anyways, i thought it was going to look BEAUTIFUL! Ya, I was wrong. I really wish I had taken pics of that, um, igloo? I actually never did get any pics so i decided google would be my best friend and lend me some of his (talk about lazy) lol! Here one is...

You can now check in 48 hours in advance for flights departing after 3 am (Hong Kong time) that day. You can print your pass on A4 paper in either black and white or color, using a normal printer. At present the facility is only available to passengers departing Hong Kong who are traveling point on Cathay Pacific flights.
